Finance Manager - Events Agency

Cheshire

£40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join this thriving events agency in a pivotal role!

The company

This lovely boutique events agency really punch above their weight and have a strong and loyal client base for whom they deliver conferences, incentives, meetings & events across the UK and internationally! Due to ongoing success and growth of the business we are now supporting with the hire of a Finance Manager to support the busy running day to day running of their finance operations. This is a friendly and collaborative team where you will be part of their excellent culture.

The role

The Finance Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and provide the Managing Director with accurate, timely and commercially useful financial information. This is a hands-on position in a small finance team, combining transaction-level oversight with management accounts, cash-flow control, process improvement and support to the events team. A key priority is to strengthen financial workflows and controls, particularly where the agency receives client funds and makes onward payments to venues and event suppliers.

About you

We are seeking proven experience managing a small finance function and delivering accurate end-to-end accounting processes. You will have strong hands-on bookkeeping and management accounting capability, including month-end, balance sheet reconciliations, cash-flow forecasting and credit control. Confident using cloud accounting software, ideally Xero, with strong Excel skills and the ability to manage high volumes of data with accuracy. You must have an excellent communication style and be able to make financial information accessible to non-finance colleagues. You will be part-qualified or fully qualified accounting professional with relevant qualifications including AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
