The Opportunity
Finatal are partnering with a high-growth, investor-backed digital marketplace on the appointment of a Finance Manager.
With a market-leading position in the education and student engagement space, the business has experienced significant growth through continued investment in its platform, commercial partnerships, and data-driven products. As the company enters its next phase of scale, they are seeking a commercially focused Finance Manager to strengthen the finance function and support strategic decision-making across the business.
This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, business partnering, FP&A, and operational finance, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to play a key role in a fast-paced growth environment.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will take ownership of core financial reporting and planning processes while partnering closely with stakeholders across the business.
You'll provide meaningful financial insight, drive improvements in reporting and controls, and support senior leadership in evaluating opportunities to improve commercial and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and performance reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes across the business.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis and insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Partner with leaders across commercial, marketing, product, and operations functions.
- Develop KPI reporting, dashboards, and business performance analysis.
- Challenge assumptions and influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
- Support pricing, profitability, and investment analysis across key growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced financial controls.
- Assist with year-end audit, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Support strategic projects, including investor reporting, fundraising activity, and long-term planning.

Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Experience in education, technology or related sectors.
- Experience within Finance Manager, Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using finance systems and reporting tools.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-makers across the business.
- Previous experience within a high-growth, technology, digital, marketplace, SaaS, media, or investor-backed business would be advantageous.
- Proactive, ambitious, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced growth environment.
