The Company A fast-growing, PE-backed e-commerce group is looking for a hands-on finance professional to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and help build out financial control as the business scales. Backed by an international private equity investor, the group operates remotely with its registered office in London.
The Role This is a blended Finance Manager / Finance Controller position for someone equally comfortable running the books and building the controls around them. You'll take full ownership of transactional finance while also acting as the senior finance presence supporting the leadership team and incoming fractional CFO.

Responsibilities Key responsibilities:
- Full ownership of day-to-day transactional finance — purchase and sales invoicing, expenses, and cash control
- Management of weekly and monthly cash flow, with tight oversight given the pace of the business
- Building and strengthening financial controls, processes and reporting as the business scales
- Preparing management accounts and supporting month-end close
- Acting as the key finance point of contact for the wider business and board
- Working closely with an incoming fractional CFO on reporting, forecasting and investor updates
- Supporting on ad hoc finance projects as the group grows
Qualifications About You
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Finance Controller role, ideally within e-commerce, retail, or a fast-paced SME/scale-up environment
- Comfortable working hands-on with transactional finance as well as higher-level reporting and control
- Experience with SaaS-based finance/accounting systems strongly preferred
- Confident operating with autonomy in a remote-first environment
- Able to start at short notice
- Experience in a PE-backed business is an advantage but not essential
- Strong communicator, comfortable presenting numbers to non-finance stakeholders
