Investigo are delighted to be partnering with a market-leading organisation to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager, Leicester - 2 days office based.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting, lead a high-performing team, and play a key role in driving process improvement across a growing business.
Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, FP&A, Finance Business Partners, and operational teams, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while helping to shape and modernise the finance function.
The Opportunity
This role offers a blend of technical accounting, team leadership, and business transformation. You'll lead key aspects of the month-end process, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure robust financial controls are embedded across the organisation.
Beyond the day-to-day reporting responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to challenge existing processes, implement efficiencies, and support the development of a scalable finance function capable of supporting future business growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Take ownership of key balance sheet and P&L areas, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and journals.
- Analyse financial performance, highlighting key risks, trends, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of Management Accountants and Assistant Accountants.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, focusing on standardisation, automation, and efficiency.
- Partner with FP&A, Finance Business Partners, and operational teams to provide technical accounting support and financial insight.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, systems improvements, and process optimisation projects.
- Ensure reporting deadlines are consistently achieved whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and control.

About You
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with excellent leadership skills.
You will have:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
- Strong financial accounting and reporting experience within a complex business environment.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or developing finance teams.
- Proven experience managing month-end close processes and delivering high-quality financial reporting.
- A track record of improving controls, processes, and ways of working.
- Experience driving automation and efficiency initiatives within finance.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Salary
£66,000 - £72,000 + 10% Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Location: Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days remote)
