About The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join BT Group's high-profile Commercial Analysis team, working at the heart of some of the most important strategic and financial decisions across the organisation.
Supporting the Group CFO, Group Strategy teams and senior leaders across BT, you'll provide commercial insight and analysis that helps shape investment decisions, evaluate business performance and drive long-term value creation.
You'll play a key role in two high-impact Group initiatives: the continued rollout of our Economic Profit framework and the annual Group Enterprise Valuation process. Working across Consumer, Business, Openreach, Networks, Digital and Corporate Units, you'll gain unrivalled exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic decision-making and the full breadth of BT's operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver insightful commercial analysis that supports strategic decision-making and improves financial performance across BT Group.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Strategy and the wider business to provide meaningful challenge, influence decisions and drive action.
- Support the rollout of BT's Economic Profit framework, helping business units better understand end-to-end profitability and value creation.
- Build strong relationships across the Group to embed new financial methodologies, tools and ways of thinking.
- Lead key elements of the annual Group Enterprise Valuation process, providing robust analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Act as a subject matter expert for valuation methodologies and cost of capital, supporting investment appraisal activities across the organisation.
- Present complex financial information in a clear and compelling way, tailoring your message for a range of senior audiences, including CFO-level stakeholders.

Essential Skills / Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience partnering with senior stakeholders within a complex, matrixed organisation.
- Commercial analysis and/or business casing experience within a complex matrix organisation.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience of investment appraisal, valuation techniques or strategic financial analysis.
- Experience supporting strategic projects, transformation programmes or performance improvement initiatives.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation and influencing skills, with experience communicating to senior leadership audiences.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and data into compelling business narratives that drive decision-making
