Finance Manager – Group Reporting
Location: Leeds
Employment Type: Permanent full time
Salary: up to £55,000 depending on experience + flexible benefits
Summary
A highly visible role within the Group Finance team, supporting the delivery of financial reporting and communications to senior management, the Board, Board committees, shareholders, and the wider Bailey family.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly through reports, presentations, and Board papers. The role will be responsible for supporting and developing the Group's reporting cycle whilst contributing to a range of strategic, reporting, and governance-related activities.
Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, the role provides significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the Group and offers a broad mix of financial reporting, audit, analysis, and communication responsibilities.
Some of the deliverables for this role include:
- Transforming complex financial and business information into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate reports and presentations for senior leaders, shareholders, and family stakeholders.
- Preparation and coordination of Board, committee, and senior management papers, presentations, and supporting analysis.
- Supporting reporting and communications to shareholders and the wider Bailey family.
- Preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts and associated reporting.
- Analysis of Group financial performance, including preparation of commentary, risks, and opportunities analysis.
- Supporting the Group forecasting and budgeting process.
- Coordination and management of the year-end audit process, including audit timetables, audit requests, and liaison with divisional finance teams and external auditors.
- Preparation and review of audit deliverables and supporting documentation.
- Supporting the preparation of Group statutory accounts and technical accounting papers.
- Working with stakeholders across the Group to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of reporting.
- Identifying and implementing practical process and reporting improvements.

What we are looking for:
The successful candidate is likely to be a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience gained either in practice or industry.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, or other materials for senior, client, or non-specialist audiences.
- Experience of Group reporting, consolidations, or multi-entity environments would be advantageous.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear and concise messages.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to challenging deadlines.
This role would suit a first mover from practice seeking their first industry role, particularly those from Audit, Financial Reporting, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, or Technical Accounting backgrounds.
