Interim Finance Manager
Salary: £55,000 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Part-time 21hrs per week, 4 to 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Hybrid, 1 day a week in office
Start Date: Immediate
Are you an experienced finance professional who can hit the ground running? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established community-focused organisation seeking an Interim Finance Manager to provide hands-on financial leadership during a busy period of change.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong management accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You'll work closely with the senior leadership team, overseeing day-to-day finance operations while delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring compliance across the organisation.

The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Producing timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Managing financial controls, reconciliations, VAT and payroll oversight.
- Monitoring grant and contract income, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Supporting year-end processes and acting as the main contact for external auditors.
- Supervising the finance function and driving improvements to financial systems and processes.
- Providing financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or significant relevant experience.
- Proven experience producing management accounts and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll and financial controls.
- Experience using Sage or similar accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to start immediately.

Previous experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
