Finance Manager

PE-Backed Business Services Group

Reporting to: Finance Director
Location: Central London | Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
Package: Up to £75,000 + Bonus and Comprehensive Benefits

Nirvana Search is exclusively partnering with a highly successful, Private Equity-backed B2B Services group to recruit a commercially minded and technically strong Finance Manager.

Operating in a fast-paced, contract-led environment, the business is going through a significant period of organic and acquisitive growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while adding real commercial value.

You will be joining a dynamic PE-backed environment where you will not only ensure rigorous financial control and reporting but also partner with operational leads to drive contract profitability and system optimisation.

This role is perfect for someone looking to step up in a high-growth business and play a key role in its future exit strategy.

You will be responsible for:

  • Financial Control & Reporting: Take ownership of the end-to-end month-end close process, producing accurate and timely management accounts with detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Commercial Analysis: Partner with non-finance stakeholders to review operational performance. Drive deep-dive analysis into project and contract profitability, ensuring margins are protected and optimised.
  • Working Capital & Cash Flow: Lead rigorous cash flow forecasting and working capital management, maintaining tight controls over WIP (Work in Progress), billing, and credit control.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify and implement continuous improvements across financial systems and workflows to drive efficiency and build a highly scalable finance function.
  • Audit & Statutory Compliance: Act as the lead point of contact for external auditors, managing the year-end audit process and ensuring full statutory compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
