About the Opportunity

A leading energy infrastructure developer is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function for a major cross-border electricity project and support wider advisory activities. This is a broad, senior role combining hands-on financial management with strategic business partnering, offering significant visibility and the chance to shape financial processes as the project progresses toward financial close and construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and manage banking relationships
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and maintain integrated financial models for project economics and returns
  • Prepare management accounts, reporting packs, and provide financial insights for decision-making
  • Manage statutory audits, liaise with external auditors, and coordinate audit deliverables
  • Oversee tax compliance across multiple entities and manage relationships with tax advisors
  • Contribute financial input to regulatory processes and submissions
  • Maintain and update project plans, support grant funding applications, and contribute to risk management
  • Build and maintain financial models and valuations for advisory clients
  • Line-manage accounting staff and prepare documentation for governance meetings

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrable expertise in financial management, treasury, budgeting, audit, and tax (ideally in energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive sectors)
  • Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel), with experience in project finance models
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
  • Proficiency in accounting and office software
  • Experience in regulated environments is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, comfortable in a dynamic team
