Finance Manager

East Sussex | Temporary to Permanent | £50,000-£60,000pa

An exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and growing business based near Bexhill, as Finance Manager.

You’ll be joining a small, high-performing finance team and working closely with the Group CFO to oversee the day-to-day finance function. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a fully qualified accountant who enjoys working across a broad remit and wants to play a key part in supporting a growing business.

The Role:

  • Managing and supporting a small finance team
  • Overseeing the day-to-day transactional finance function
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Producing monthly management accounts across multiple entities
  • Supporting the Group CFO with budgeting and forecasting
  • Providing financial insight and support to the wider business
  • Helping to improve and develop finance processes as the business continues to grow

About You

We’re looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who is commercially minded, hands-on, and keen to make an impact within a growing business.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience managing or leading a small finance team
  • Strong technical accounting and management accounts experience
  • Confidence working across a broad finance remit
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive and ambitious approach, with the appetite to grow alongside the business
  • The ability to work comfortably in a hands-on environment where no two days are necessarily the same
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
