Finance Manager

Part-time | c.15 hours per week | Kidlington, Oxfordshire | Up to £50,000 FTE, pro rata, depending on experience

Are you an experienced finance professional seeking a flexible, influential part-time position within a purpose-led Oxfordshire organisation?

We are recruiting a Finance Manager for a well-established not-for-profit organisation that plays an important role in supporting and developing Oxfordshire’s visitor economy. Working across both a charitable entity and its trading company, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad finance remit while contributing to work with real regional impact.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Finance Manager will provide confident financial leadership, robust reporting and sound commercial insight across a varied organisation spanning marketing, events, visitor services, retail activity, travel services and consultancy.

This is a hands-on role with exposure at senior level. You will work closely with the Chief Executive, budget holders, external accountants and the Finance & Resources Committee, presenting financial information to trustees and Board Directors. You will also line-manage and support a Finance Executive.

The role offers flexibility, with up to 15 hours per week to be worked across two or three days.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
