Finance Manager
White Horse Employment are supporting a well known organisation in Swindon with the appointment of a Finance Manager which is a brand new role to join their growing finance team.
This is a reconciliation-focused finance leadership role, managing a small team and taking ownership of complex balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and month-end delivery.
The Role
- Lead and develop a small team
- Review and approve complex balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved.
- Ensure reconciliations are completed and signed off accurately and on time.
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls and accounting processes.
- Support month-end, year-end and audit processes.
- Review processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee cash management, payments and banking activities.
- Work across multiple systems and investigate issues arising from system interfaces.

About You
We're looking for a qualified accountant or equivalent with strong experience in a fast paced finance environment and a genuine strength in reconciliations and financial controls.

You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience reviewing complex reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet accounting and double-entry.
- Previous team management experience.
- Experience improving processes and financial controls.
- Experience supporting audits.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
