Finance Manager

A rapidly scaling, founder led business in London is looking for a Finance Manager to take full ownership of its day to day finance function. This is a genuinely hands on role. You will build the financial infrastructure the business needs as it grows. Finance here is becoming increasingly strategic and visible, and you will work closely with leadership and commercial teams to turn financial data into practical insights.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Take responsibility for the full finance function, from accounting and reporting through to budgeting, credit control, and commercial contracts.
  • You will turn financial data into clear insight for leadership, using strong spreadsheet and modelling skills to manage cash flow forecasts and reconciliations.
  • Manage accounting, reporting, credit control, budgeting, commercial contracts, and systems.
  • Deliver accurate reporting and clear cash visibility.
  • Translate financial information into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Build and improve financial infrastructure and processes as the company scales.
  • Work closely with non finance colleagues across commercial teams.
  • Monitor cash flow, forecasting, reconciliations, and P&L, knowing when to escalate and when to resolve independently.
  • Support the roll out of automated workflows and AI powered finance tools.
  • Manage spend management tools such as Xero or Dext.
  • Build strong relationships with auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
