White Horse Employment are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded consumer brand to recruit a Finance Manager into their growing Finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a key area of Finance, with a strong focus on hands-on financial analysis, stock, inventory and margin accounting. You’ll be involved in the detail of month-end reporting, standard costing and variance analysis, using the numbers to understand business performance, explain movements and provide clear commercial insight to stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee stock, margin and inventory accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis
  • Investigate financial movements and provide clear commentary and insight
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and accounting processes
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Business partner with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
  • Support cash flow, balance sheet management and year-end processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting through automation and technology
  • Support wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Strong stock, inventory or margin accounting experience
  • Background in manufacturing, retail or a complex inventory environment
  • Strong standard costing and variance analysis experience
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator able to explain technical finance clearly
  • Inquisitive, proactive and focused on continuous improvement
