Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, leading a small team and partnering with operational stakeholders across the business. This is a hands-on role that combines financial control, business partnering, and commercial analysis within a manufacturing setting.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the month-end and year-end close process
- Producing accurate management accounts and financial reports
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities
- Monitoring manufacturing costs, margins, and inventory performance
- Providing commercial insight and analysis to support business decisions
- Developing and improving financial controls, processes, and reporting
- Managing and mentoring finance team members
- Supporting external audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Partnering with operational and production teams to drive efficiency and profitability

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Have previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role
- Possess strong manufacturing, engineering, or FMCG sector experience
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of cost accounting, stock, and inventory management
- Be confident in producing management accounts and presenting financial information to stakeholders
- Have strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills
