We are looking for a Finance Manager
Location: Telford
Salary: £50,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
Work pattern: Office Based, Telford
About The Role
A broad and hands-on role, responsible for the day-to-day management of finance, including month end processes and management accounts prep, general ledger maintenance, cashflow, accounts payable and audit. Ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, robust cash flow management, and supporting efficient financial operations across the business through greater automation.
Key Responsibilities
Outcomes
- Accurate and timely monthly reporting of financials and KPIs.
- Cleanly maintained General Ledger
- Reconciliation of all key supplier invoices to system/circuit data.
- Effective cash flow and working capital management.
- Supporting the FD to achieve improved profitability through financial analysis and cost control.
- Well-managed finance operations with efficient processes and controls with a strong focus on automation.
Financial Reporting & Control
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Oversee and participate in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
- Develop, monitor and improve financial controls, policies and procedures.
Accounts Payable
- Oversee reconciliation of supplier bills to system records that identifies over billing to Entanet. Raise queries with suppliers where appropriate.
- Prepare/Submit weekly payment runs for approval by FD to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
- Oversee processing of employee expenses.

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support on annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and targets.
- Analyse variances and provide recommendations to management.
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Automate and oversee bank reconciliation processes
- Update cash flow forecasting with actual performance and changes to future trends.
- Monitor working capital, including receivables and payables.
- Oversee banking relationships and payment processes.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory obligations.
- Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting.
- Manage VAT, PSA and other tax submissions with support from FD/external advisers as required.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop team members to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
- Promote accountability throughout the finance team.
- Set clear goals, expectations and performance standards for the team.
- Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews and support career development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture.
- Manage resource planning, workload allocation and prioritisation.
About You
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years' experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Experience leading or supervising finance staff.
- Knowledge of financial controls, audit and compliance requirements.
- Intermediate Excel and financial systems expertise.

It would be great if you have any of the following, but it's not essential:
- Experience within telecommunications, technology or wholesale services.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience in a high growth/fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of wholesale telecom billing.
- Process automation and continuous improvement experience.
Qualifications
- Qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Right to work in the UK.
