Finance Manager / Management Accountant – Retail & Wholesale

Caramel London is an independent luxury fashion brand founded in 1999, operating across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale internationally.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager / Management Accountant to manage the day-to-day finance function and provide clear reporting across the business.
This is a full-time, on-site role in London, working closely with the Founder and senior team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial management
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Payroll, VAT, bank reconciliations, journals, and accruals
- Accounts payable and supplier payments
- Raising wholesale invoices, debtor management, and credit control
- Cash-flow monitoring and forecasting
- Budgeting and financial reporting
- Weekly and monthly shop performance reporting
- Analysis of sales, margin, stock, sell-through, and profitability
- Supporting stock takes and stock reconciliation
- Working with merchandising and operations on stock investment and performance
- Improving financial controls and reporting processes

Experience Required
- Strong practical experience with Xero – essential
- Advanced Excel skills
- Previous experience preparing management accounts
- Experience with payroll, invoicing, and credit control
- Strong understanding of retail, wholesale, and stock accounting
- Fashion, retail, or wholesale experience preferred
- Experience with Zedonk, Brightpearl, and/or Warewolf highly desirable
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent experience
- Commercial, analytical, and highly organized
- Comfortable working hands-on in an entrepreneurial business
