Build a finance function, rather than stepping into one where everything is established!

We are building something new in Peterlee and not everything is in place yet. That is why we need an experienced manufacturing finance person who can bring structure to the numbers, set up practical processes and help build the wider business-support function.

Build the function, shape the business and join the site Leadership Team. It’s an ‘all hands on deck’ situation, where you’ll work closely with the Site Manager, Group Finance and international colleagues. You will manage the day-to-day priorities while building the processes and team we need for the future:

  • Lead site finance, including reporting, budgets, forecasts, cash flow and working capital.
  • Provide clear financial insight to the Site Manager and Leadership Team.
  • Build scalable processes across finance, payroll and business support.
  • Lead the local ERP rollout, including testing, data migration and training.
  • Establish strong controls and support payroll, recruitment, onboarding and site administration.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You know manufacturing finance. Maybe you even have some experience from a start-up, growing site or international business.

That means you can:

  • Produce reliable accounts, budgets and forecasts.
  • Understand manufacturing costs, margins and site performance.
  • Improve systems and controls without making them unnecessarily complicated.
  • Work closely with operational teams and challenge decisions when needed.
  • Set the direction while still handling the day-to-day work yourself.
