Finance Manager | Bradford (Hybrid) | Up to £65,000 + Bonus

Ever tried explaining WIP and deferred income to someone who just wants to know "are we making money on this job?"

If you can do that without losing your patience (or theirs), keep reading.

This is a hands-on Finance Manager role with a PE-backed, project-based business that's grown fast and shows no signs of slowing down. Think design, supply, manufacture and install work for some genuinely recognisable hospitality and food service brands. It's a fragmented market, they're the leader in it, and there's a clear buy and build strategy still to play out.

You'll own the month-end close across the project-based entities, managing WIP, deferred income and long-term contract revenue recognition under FRS 102. But this isn't a back-office reporting role. You'll be the trusted finance partner to project managers and senior stakeholders, turning contract positions and margins into insight people actually use, not just numbers they nod along to.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
