Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, poppi, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.
With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together, the one common goal remains, and that is ensuring our people succeed.
About the Role
As a Channel Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial performance, planning, and decision-making for a cluster of customers. Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll help deliver insight, drive value, and ensure strong financial governance across the customer(s).
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and is ready to undertake a very visible, business-facing finance role. You’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, confident in your analysis, and proactive in building relationships across the business.

Role Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll act as a finance business partner to the Account Managers and Account Directors for the relevant customer cluster. Your focus will be on helping the team to continuously improve performance, make better decisions and stay on track financially.
- Provide clear, actionable insight into the customer(s) performance to the Account Directors and their teams, including analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
- Raise the bar on financial awareness across the customer team through clear, periodic reporting and storytelling.
- Identify risks and opportunities early and work with cross-functional partners to mitigate or unlock them. Lead for a ‘no surprises’ culture.
- Provide transparency & recommendations regarding balance sheet risks & opportunities.
- Support the rolling forecast and budget process, helping to build robust, deliverable plans with clear assumptions and clear risks and opportunities identified.
- Protect the business by ensuring a high level of financial governance and control across all trade investment and capital.
- Constructively challenge customer business partners to help deliver the best short and long-term outcomes for Carlsberg Britvic.
- Champion an ROI improvement culture for all customer investments (promotion spend, customer terms, trade spend, pricing decisions, capital investment)
- Identify value creation opportunities through margin, SKU and spend optimisation
- Support the evaluation of terms proposals for your customer(s) and post reviews of investment to identify learnings to improve effectiveness and returns from future investments.
- Spot opportunities to improve processes and drive value, working with the wider team to make them happen
- Support the Senior Finance Managers in the team on integration activities
- Ensure Channel finance processes are clear, documented, and understood by everyone who needs to use them.
- Bring challenge and insight to forecasting and budgeting, helping shape plans that are both ambitious and grounded.
- Champion a governance culture to ensure the adherence to process and investment approval.
- Role model Carlsberg Britvic’s values in everything you do.
- Help build the financial capability of the Off Trade Channel Finance team—coaching, supporting, and sharing your expertise.
- Support the development of others in the wider finance team by offering feedback and sharing knowledge.
- Provide ad-hoc support and cover for the Senior Finance Manager, or Finance Business Partner when needed

Experience and Key Attributes
- Strong analytical thinking—you’re confident working with numbers and can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight for non-finance colleagues.
- A proactive, can-do mindset with the drive to make things happen and see things through.
- Solid commercial awareness and a strategic mindset—you understand the bigger picture and how finance fits into it.
- The ability to build strong relationships, engage and influence across different teams and levels.
- A natural problem-solver who’s comfortable with ambiguity and can find pragmatic solutions to complex challenges.
- Experience in FMCG is desirable—whether from a manufacturer or retailer background.
- CIMA qualified with experience (other financial qualifications will also be considered)
