Finance & People Manager
Location: Dukinfield, Greater Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 DOE

We're looking for an experienced Finance & People Manager to join our growing business and take ownership of the finance function while supporting people, compliance, and business operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to play a key role in the growth of a successful multi-company organisation.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll oversee the day-to-day finance operations, manage a small finance and administration team, and provide support across HR, compliance, and operational projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Manage invoicing, payroll, reconciliations, and cash flow
- Oversee CIS administration and contractor payroll funding
- Liaise with external accountants, payroll providers, and finance partners
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Lead and develop the finance and administration team
- Support onboarding, employee records, and HR administration
- Assist with compliance, GDPR, and operational governance
- Drive process improvements across the business
- Support business growth initiatives and charity events

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or similar
- Strong management accounts and financial reporting experience
- Payroll and invoicing experience
- Knowledge of cash flow management and financial controls
- Experience managing or supervising staff
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills

Desirable:
- AAT Level 4 or studying ACCA, ACA, or CIMA
- Recruitment, construction, or professional services experience
- Knowledge of CIS, contractor payroll, or invoice finance
- HR or people management experience
