Job Title: Qualified Finance Manager

My client, a nonprofit making values-led organisation in Wallingford, Oxfordshire is looking for a part-time Qualified Finance Manager to lead and develop the finance function—helping deliver accurate reporting, strong controls, and confident decision-making at group level.

Job Details:

  • 3 days a week - Wed, Thursday, and Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • One day can be worked from home but it must be Thursday.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and develop the finance function across the company, including line and performance management
  • Prepare regular management accounts for group companies and provide clear financial insight
  • Manage budgets and cash flow, including complex inter-company arrangements
  • Oversee credit control, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and proactive financial risk management
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance systems and processes
  • Support robust month and quarter-end processes to ensure controls remain strong and information is accurate
  • Collaborate with auditors and external stakeholders, and ensure statutory requirements are met (working closely with the Finance Manager - Service Charges)
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to support strategic actions within the corporate plan

What You'll Bring:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or qualified by significant relevant experience)
  • Strong technical accounting ability, analytical thinking, and commercial judgement
  • Experience delivering financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Proven ability to build and develop teams, with a collaborative leadership style
  • Confidence working with senior leadership and translating finance into practical guidance

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary offered is c£40k, pro rata c£24k
  • 9am - 5pm
  • 3 days a week - Wed, Thursday, and Friday
  • One day can be worked from home but it must be Thursday.
  • Full-time: 27 days and bank holidays (part-time: 16 days plus 5 bank holidays)
  • Life assurance and company pension
  • Excellent working environment in the office with the team plus parking.
