About The Role

This permanent, part-time position as Finance Manager - Part Time in London offers £40,000 to £45,000 annually. Based in Westminster, the successful candidate works three days weekly, office-based. Key Responsibilities Of The Finance Manager

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day finance and accounting function.
  • Lead the transition of accounting activities from external accountants to an in-house operation.
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end, management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with external accountants regarding year-end accounts and statutory reporting.
  • Develop and improve financial processes, controls and reporting systems.
  • Provide meaningful financial information and analysis to support senior management decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and take ownership of ad-hoc projects.

The Successful Finance Manager Will Have

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • A strong background in accountancy practice, ideally within a small or independent firm.
  • Sound knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts preparation and statutory accounting.
  • Experience managing a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to implement improvements and develop effective financial processes.
