Finance Manager

Our client is looking for a data-driven, qualified accountant to join its finance team as a Finance Manager. This is a hybrid role, roughly 60% project-based and 40% business-as-usual (BAU) reporting, built for someone who wants to modernise how a finance function works rather than just run it.

You will lead process automation and systems implementation projects across the finance function, while owning parts of the monthly reporting cycle and partnering with investment, operations and fund teams. You will have real scope to shape tools, data and ways of working, with direct visibility to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

Projects, automation and systems (c. 60%)

  • Identify manual, repetitive or high-risk processes across the finance function and lead their automation
  • Lead or support finance systems implementations and upgrades, from requirements gathering and vendor selection through testing, go-live and adoption
  • Build and improve data flows between the general ledger, fund administration, portfolio monitoring and reporting tools
  • Design dashboards and self-serve reporting (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) that give stakeholders timely, accurate insight
  • Document new processes and controls and train colleagues so improvements stick
  • Act as the finance lead on cross-functional projects with investment, operations, IT and external providers
  • Keep track of emerging tools, including AI and workflow automation, and assess where they can add value

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
