Finance Manager
Up to £55,000 Depending on Experience
Full-time | Permanent | Office based

Rise10 Recruitment are working with a growing and established business to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end finance function.
This is a broad, hands-on position suited to a qualified accountant or an experienced QBE professional who is comfortable operating across transactional finance, management accounts, cashflow, tax compliance and statutory reporting.
You will be supported by a small transactional finance team but will retain overall responsibility for ensuring the finance function is accurate, well controlled and providing reliable information to senior management.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day finance function while providing clear financial insight to the wider business. You will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, managing working capital and supporting business planning and decision-making.
- Managing the day-to-day finance function, supported by a small transactional team
- Maintaining a rolling cashflow forecast and optimising working capital
- Supporting supplier and subcontractor payment runs
- Preparing weekly and monthly payroll information
- Preparing and reconciling VAT returns, ensuring the correct treatment of transactions
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets, investigating and clearing reconciling items
- Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and payment obligations to HMRC, including PAYE, CIS, Corporation Tax and VAT
- Overseeing the production of monthly management accounts, including detailed commentary and analysis against budget
- Leading the annual budgeting and reforecasting process
- Providing weekly financial reporting to senior management, including a consolidated view of the group trial balance
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts
- Producing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
- Reviewing financial performance and communicating key findings to senior stakeholders

About You
We're looking for someone with strong technical accounting knowledge who is equally comfortable getting into the detail of the numbers and providing meaningful financial insight.
- A recognised accounting qualification or significant relevant experience at QBE level
- Substantial technical accounts experience across a broad finance function
- Strong knowledge of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow and statutory compliance
- Experience with VAT, PAYE, CIS and Corporation Tax
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of financial controls
- The confidence to communicate financial information clearly to senior management
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience using SAP is highly desirable
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
