Finance Manager Growth & Operations

I'm working with a UK-headquartered cloud compute business in the AI infrastructure space to find their next Finance Manager.

They're at the stage where finance has to grow up fast. New business sectors coming online, a group structure spanning multiple jurisdictions, funding rounds to reflect in the cap table, and a reporting stack that's about to move off Xero onto something more serious.

They have recently been through their first Audit and have sailed through with no adjustments, it is a really exciting time to be joining the business. You will have great exposure to all seniorities internally, there are around 50 people in the business.

This sits directly under the Finance Director, with no direct reports, so it's a genuine hands-on ownership role rather than a management one.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'd own:

  • Group and entity reporting, and the migration to a new platform
  • Budgets, KPIs, variance analysis and rolling forecasts, built from scratch where there's nothing today
  • Departmental budgets end to end, including variance reviews with budget holders by project and customer
  • A group-wide KPI framework
  • A weekly cash flow planner that people actually use, plus banking migrations, FX planning and new facilities
  • Cross-border entity management: keeping dormant entities compliant, supporting formal closures in various locations, and keeping KYC/AML documentation permanently data-room ready

What they're looking for:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • A solid grip on month-end, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Strong Google Sheets and Xero
  • Experience implementing systems, and a track record of spotting and driving process improvement
  • Comfortable with AI tools (Claude in particular)
  • Confident working independently and owning outcomes, with the appetite to challenge existing processes rather than just inherit them
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a scaling and growing business
