HW Finance are pleased to be partnering with a B2B services organisation, who are seeking a new Finance Manager to join their team in Leeds.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on and varied position, owning month-end process and full P&L for a division of the business, and managing a Management Accountant. This role is ideal for someone wanting to take on end-to-end responsibility for a division, partnering key stakeholders across sales, operations and customer support to assist with key decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close process for your division, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for the legal entities
- Maintain a robust financial control environment in line with accounting policies and requirements
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and month-end adjustments
- Deliver monthly financial performance reviews with variance analysis and accompanying commentary
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
- Support year-end audit process and auditor requests
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, controls, and reporting
- Manage, coach, and develop the Management Accountant
- Partner with senior stakeholders across commercial and operational teams
- Provide relevant analysis, constructive challenge, and insight to support decision making
- Support non-finance stakeholders in understanding financial performance and accountability
- Maintain financial models for planning and profitability analysis
- Work confidently with a high volume of data, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Provide accurate information to support wider budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ad hoc support to wider finance team

- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Strong financial reporting/management accounting background
- Experience operating with high volumes of data
- Prior experience mentoring or managing junior team members
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Experience of ERP and financial reporting systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercially minded
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities to deadlines
