A client of ours in the Wickford area are recruiting a Finance Manager to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time temporary position for an initial 3 months, working Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch, and paying up to £26.44 per hour (£55,000 per annum).

Your key duties in this Finance Manager role will include but are not limited to:

  • Producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow analysis and commentary.
  • Managing budgets, forecasts, costings and financial reporting, providing insight to support business decisions.
  • Preparing draft statutory accounts and quarterly VAT returns, as well as managing payroll and bank reconciliations.
  • Overseeing purchase ledger, supplier payment runs, credit control and day-to-day finance operations.
  • Supervising and supporting the Finance team, including providing cover and managing finance queries.
  • Reviewing and improving financial controls, processes and accounting systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Supporting business planning, acquisitions and commercial projects where required.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Finance Manager role:

  • Qualified ACCA or CIMA with proven experience working as a Finance Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, VAT and statutory accounts.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems, ideally including Sage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
