Finance Manager
We're looking for a Finance Manager for a central government department based in Wiltshire (hybrid) on an initial 6 month contract with possibility of extension contract, paying up to £600 per day (Inside IR35).
There's an expectation to attend the office in Wiltshire up to three days a week, as business needs require.
About the Role
The successful Finance Manager will own in-year budget and financial management, driving sound financial governance and control across the organisation. You'll lead financial planning and forecasting, support investment appraisals and business cases, and manage charging and recharging activity. Expect close work with stakeholders to keep reporting accurate and spend on track.

Requirements
You will need proven experience in the following:
- A sound understanding of Government Finance principles
- Financial planning and forecasting
- In-year budget and financial management
- Strong financial governance and control
- Charging, recharging and billing
- Investment appraisals and business cases

A Defence background would be beneficial, as would knowledge of CP&F.
A recognised professional financial qualification, held or being worked towards, is highly desirable.
You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance for this role.
