Finance Manager | Series A Consumer AI Scale-Up | Central London | Up to £75k + Equity

The Client

We are partnering with a Series A consumer AI business. The product looks simple from the outside, but underneath it is one of the most ambitious agentic AI systems being built in the UK today.

Launched in 2024, they are growing more than 2,000% year on year toward c.£35-40m revenue next year, hold an NPS consistently above +70, are a certified B Corp, and are backed by a top-tier venture fund alongside angel investors who sit behind some of the world's best-known technology companies.

The Role

This is a deliberately hands-on and technical hire, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. You will own the engine room of finance: high-volume reconciliations running to thousands of transactions a month across customers and suppliers, the invoicing cycle, finance operations end to end, and the month-end close. Alongside that you will design the controls, systems and automation that let the business scale with near-zero defects, and prepare it for its first external audit. It is a genuine controller-track role, and the path to Financial Controller is clear for whoever gets this right.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the high-volume reconciliations at the heart of the business, ensuring customer, supplier and partner transactions reconcile cleanly at scale
  • Manage the invoicing cycle across the supplier and partner base, keeping it accurate, timely and well controlled
  • Take ownership of finance operations end to end, including customer payments, partner payouts and supplier fees
  • Lead the month-end close and produce management accounts the leadership team can rely on
  • Build automation into finance workflows using modern data and AI tooling as volumes grow
  • Design and embed financial controls across payments, approvals and vendor management
  • Prepare the business for, and help lead it through, its first external audit
  • Partner with engineering, product and go-to-market teams to design low-touch, automated finance processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
