Based in East Lancashire, this multi-site manufacturing business is looking to add a technically astute Finance Manager within a newly created role. Reporting to the Finance Director, the business has an exciting future and boasts a strong commercial pipeline. Undergoing a significant transformation, the business is in a period of high-growth. With a unique offering, they are market leaders and boast a strong presence in bespoke manufacturing and the distribution sector. Your new role as Finance Manager:
This is a varied role where no day will be the same. As Finance Manager, reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance department and day-to-day financial activity. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide strategic insights and drive financial performance across multiple regions and business units. Managing a small team, you will take the lead over the financial operation and be responsible for monthly management accounting, statutory requirements, and year-end close, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and lead on audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts as well as leading on the preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors.
- Support year-end and month-end close processes.
- Lead on VAT requirements as well as other statutory reporting obligations.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes across a multi-site operation.
- Provide detailed financial analysis, providing insight and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.
- Cash flow forecasting.
- Ensure effective financial controls and governance are maintained, driving improvements across financial processes and reporting, while identifying automation opportunities.
- Act as a business partner, working closely with operational managers to help them understand financial performance.
- Manage and develop the finance team, monitoring team performance, providing coaching, and professional development where required.
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered, you shall either have a proven track record of adding value in a Finance Manager role or be a first-time practice mover who is technically sound, managed audit/statutory requirements, and managed a team within public practice.
With strong commercial acumen, you will ideally have had exposure to financial requirements within the manufacturing sector. Technically astute and formally qualified CIMA, ACA, or ACCA, you will have a solid technical skillset, with advanced experience with ERP systems and operating Excel. With knowledge to enhance process improvements, you will be driven to make sense of financial data, with the skills to communicate effectively with non-financial heads, ensuring finance are a value add to the rest of the business.
