Broad Finance Manager Role
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000
Location: East London | Hybrid
We’re partnering with a growing creative business looking to hire a Finance Manager into their team. This is a broad, hands-on role offering ownership across the day-to-day finance function, alongside exposure to project accounting, commercial reporting and process improvement.
Working closely with senior leadership and teams across the business, you’ll oversee finance from project budgeting and profitability through to month-end reporting, cashflow and transactional finance. With the business continuing to grow, you’ll also play an important role in developing processes and ensuring the finance function provides useful, commercially focused support to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of month-end reporting and ensuring accurate, timely management information
- Working alongside delivery teams to provide financial oversight across live projects
- Reviewing project performance, including spend, revenue, margins and profitability
- Managing the core transactional finance processes across both payables and receivables
- Monitoring working capital and providing visibility over short and medium-term cash requirements
- Ensuring balance sheet accounts and financial records are accurate and well maintained
- Providing finance support across payroll, expenses and other employee-related processes
- Managing VAT requirements and supporting wider compliance activity
- Coordinating the finance elements of year-end alongside external advisers
- Producing commercial analysis and reporting for senior leadership
- Developing existing controls, systems and processes to support continued growth

About You
- Previous finance experience within the events industry would be a significant advantage, particularly within a project-led environment
- Candidates from broader creative, experiential, production or agency backgrounds will also be considered
- AAT qualified, studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or able to demonstrate strong relevant experience
- Experience in a broad, hands-on finance role covering both month-end and day-to-day finance
- Strong commercial understanding, with experience working with project budgets, costs, margins and profitability
- Procim experience would be a major advantage
- Experience with multi-currency finance, international transactions or improving systems and processes would be beneficial
