A Finance Role with Variety, Responsibility and Flexibility
We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Finance Manager to join our friendly and dedicated team and take a lead role in managing the Town Council’s finances.
This is a varied and responsible role covering budgeting and financial forecasting, management accounts, banking and investments, VAT, payroll, procurement, financial controls, year-end accounts and the annual audit process. Working closely with the Town Clerk, you will also provide clear financial information and advice to councillors and committees.

We’re looking for someone who can combine strong financial knowledge with excellent attention to detail, work confidently and independently, and take ownership of ensuring our finances are well managed, compliant and properly controlled.

Requirements:
- An accounting qualification such as AAT or equivalent
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience of local government finance would be an advantage but is not essential
