About REFYT

REFYT Ltd is a PAS 2035:2023 retrofit and green energy contractor based in Canary Wharf, East London. We deliver Warm Homes and social housing retrofit schemes for local authorities, housing providers, and energy companies across London, Essex, and Kent. The business is growing quickly, with a strong pipeline of contracted work for 2027.

The Role

This is a new, first in-house finance role. You will own the finances of the business day to day and give the directors a clear, accurate picture of how the company is performing: what each job makes, where cash is going, and what is coming in. You will report directly to the Managing Director and help build the finance function as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track job and contract profitability, comparing costs against what we bill for each property and scheme
  • Produce monthly management accounts, P&L, and balance sheet reporting for the directors
  • Manage cash flow and produce rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts
  • Raise invoices and applications for payment, and chase debtors so we are paid on time
  • Set up and run a clear approval process for subcontractor and supplier payments
  • Manage CIS, VAT returns, and payroll, working with our external accountants on year-end
  • Build budgets and forecasts for new contracts and support pricing and tender costings
  • Keep Xero accurate and up-to-date, with bank reconciliations and clean coding by job
  • Monitor the financial health of the business and flag risks early
  • Put simple financial controls and processes in place that will scale as the company grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
