Finance Manager (UK)
Department: Finance
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Valley Mills, Drighlington
Description
At Vintage.com, we believe everything has value and nothing should be wasted. We make it simple for customers to sell the pre-loved items they no longer need, giving them a second chance while creating a more sustainable way to buy and sell.
We are building the world’s largest trading platform for pre-loved items, powered by people and data. With teams across the UK and Europe, we work as one business to create brilliant experiences for our customers, partners and each other.
Our Finance team gives the business confidence in its numbers. We bring together strong financial control, clear reporting and thoughtful commercial insight so colleagues can make good decisions as Vintage.com grows.
It is a collaborative, hands-on team that works closely with leaders and colleagues across the business, as well as external partners. We care about accuracy, practical solutions and making finance easier for others to understand and use.
The Finance Manager leads the day-to-day finance operation and turns accurate financial information into useful insight. You’ll develop a small team, oversee the core accounting cycle and make sure our controls, systems and reporting remain dependable as the business grows across the UK and Europe.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll be close enough to the detail to spot issues early, while giving senior leaders the analysis, forecasts and context they need to make confident decisions. You’ll also help us get more from Xero and continually improve how the team works.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
