About the Business

An exciting opportunity to join an established, technology-led manufacturing business in Leominster as a Finance Manager, offering a salary of £60,000 – £65,000 plus an annual bonus. The business is entering an exciting phase of change, giving you the chance to shape how the finance function works, improve processes and have real visibility across the operation. You’ll work hand in hand with the Financial Controller in a varied, hands-on role where no two months look the same.

Main Duties

As a Finance Manager, your main duties include:

  • Producing the monthly management accounts and reporting up to group level, covering the full P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Analysing performance against budget and presenting the key numbers that matter to the business
  • Contributing to the annual budget and rolling forecasts
  • Partnering with commercial and operational colleagues to help them make well-informed decisions
  • Assisting with VAT and wider tax compliance
  • Completing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
  • Liaising with the external payroll bureau on payroll and pensions, including year-end employee benefit and payroll reporting
  • Reviewing and tightening financial controls, and bringing in best practice as the business evolves

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home, based in Leominster. You’ll be joining a collaborative finance team where your ideas are welcomed and you’ll have the freedom to drive improvements. The role will start broad and become more defined over time, so it suits someone who enjoys variety and wants to leave their mark.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified – preferred but not essential
  • Solid experience producing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems
  • Manufacturing or multi-currency experience would be beneficial
