About Us

North East Escapes is an ambitious and rapidly growing holiday home management business, looking after a growing portfolio of premium properties across the North East.
As the business continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Alnwick office and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
This is an important role within the business. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and wider management team, making sure our financial reporting is accurate, our controls are strong, and we have the information we need to make good commercial decisions.

What the Role Looks Like

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running and development of the finance function, including:

  • Producing accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Preparing profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports.
  • Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital.
  • Completing VAT returns and statutory submissions.
  • Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Managing credit control and debtor management.
  • Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing month-end and year-end accounts.
  • Processing journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Developing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Liaising with external accountants, auditors and HMRC.
  • Improving financial processes, systems and controls.
  • Supporting the Managing Director with commercial analysis and business planning.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and financial regulations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
