A successful and growing organisation is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to support its continued expansion and development. Backed by private investment and operating in a fast-paced commercial environment, the business is investing in its people, systems and processes to support ambitious growth plans.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this newly created role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the finance function, influence decision-making and play a key role in shaping the financial future of the business. Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will lead a small finance team and ensure the delivery of accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls and efficient financial operations across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day finance function and overseeing transactional finance activities.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Managing cash flow, working capital and credit control activities.
- Supporting the optimisation and development of finance systems and reporting tools.
- Producing financial analysis and business insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensuring timely completion of tax returns and statutory obligations.
- Leading the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors.
- Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls across the organisation.
- Supporting the Finance Director with commercial and operational projects.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will be a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and commercial finance skills. You will also demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar position.
- Strong financial reporting and financial analysis capabilities.
- Experience managing or mentoring a finance team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel and strong IT systems knowledge.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
Desirable experience includes:
- Exposure to Sage Intacct, Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Experience within a manufacturing or product-based environment.
- Systems implementation or finance transformation experience.
- Knowledge of product costing and operational finance processes.
