About the role
We're looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to run the day-to-day finances of Conifox Adventure Park, from the ledgers through to monthly management accounts.
Conifox is a family visitor attraction near Edinburgh, running year-round activities alongside seasonal festival events. That means exciting capital projects, busy peak trading periods and a varied mix of income streams — so this role suits someone who enjoys owning the numbers and turning them into clear, practical insight for the management team.
You'll be the go-to person for finance across the business, keeping the books accurate, compliance on time and cash under control.
Key responsibilities
Ledgers and bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate purchase, sales and nominal ledgers, including sales and supplier invoices, ticketing platform integration and journals
- Process and reconcile bank, cards and online booking/EPOS takings daily
- Manage supplier payment runs and credit control
Working capital and cash management
- Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, anticipating seasonal peaks and quieter months
- Manage debtor and creditor positions, payment terms and stock levels to protect cash
- Flag funding needs or surplus cash early

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
