Sowena Group are partnered with an established FMCG business in South Manchester who are looking to appoint an Interim Operational Accountant to support the finance function during an important period of growth and change.
This is a hands-on role suited to an accountant who enjoys working closely with the wider business, providing accurate financial information and supporting day-to-day operational decision making.
Key responsibilities:
- Ownership of operational accounting activities across the business
- Preparation and review of management accounts and financial reporting
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Working closely with operational teams to provide financial insight
- Reviewing costs, margins and business performance
- Improving financial processes, controls and reporting
- Supporting month-end and year-end activities
- Providing analysis and ad-hoc support to the wider finance team

We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong operational/commercial accounting experience and proven experience using SAP. Experience within FMCG or a fast-paced, multi-site environment would be advantageous.

The role is initially offered on an interim basis, with a genuine possibility of becoming permanent for the right individual.
Location: South Manchester
Duration: Interim, with potential to become permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
