Role Outline
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Heartcore as a Finance Manager. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring appropriate financial control across the business whilst providing robust financial analysis and decision support through P&L management, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and commercial analysis.
The role is broad and hands-on, with responsibility for both financial analysis and a range of day-to-day finance processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider Heartcore team and external accountants to ensure the finance function operates effectively and that financial information is accurate and timely.
Primary Responsibilities
- Production of budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans including the maintenance of a budget & forecasting model
- Month end reporting: Preparation of the month-end sales reports, review of the management accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness, P&L analysis providing commentary on material variances, and preparation of the month-end reporting pack
- Monitor spend vs budget/forecast, highlighting all risks and opportunities on a timely basis to ensure ‘no surprises’
- Preparation of weekly and monthly sales and KPI reports
- Business partner with the wider business, including People, Marketing, Operations, and Member Experience teams, providing financial and non-financial analysis to support decision making and business performance
- Support with business case preparation for new opportunities and initiatives
- Support the monthly payroll and freelancer payment processes, working with the People Team and providing supporting calculations and information as required
- Oversee all aspects of AP including preparation of the monthly supplier run and liaising with suppliers
- Administration tasks (e.g., staff expenses, credit card ownership, and ad hoc finance & operational requests)
- Key contact in finance for all enquiries, both internal and external
- Work closely with external accounting company to ensure all finance operations run smoothly
- Support the management and control of stock and inventory, working with the wider team to ensure stock is accurately tracked and valued
- Ad hoc project work, financial analysis, and process improvement to support the wider business

- Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with an analytical/commercial aptitude
- Business partnering experience an advantage
- Must have the ability to work with non-finance teams
- Expert in Microsoft Excel
- Significant attention to detail
- Able to work independently and self-motivated
- Inquisitive, proactive ‘can do’ approach
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
- A hands-on approach, with a willingness to get stuck in, take ownership, and support across the business

- We are offering a 14-month maternity leave contract, starting December 2026
