Are you a strong Management Accountant ready to take ownership of the finance function for the site, with the opportunity to lead and develop a team of six?
We’re supporting an established organisation with the recruitment of a Finance Manager to join their team in Fife. This is a broad and varied role where you’ll take ownership of the site’s finance function, while also overseeing Purchasing and Office Administration. Working closely with senior management and Group Finance, you’ll play an important role in financial reporting, business performance and continuous improvement.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Leading monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes across two legal entities.
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts, P&L, balance sheets and cash flow reporting.
- Managing Group reporting requirements and acting as a key contact for Group Finance.
- Leading annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes.
- Providing detailed financial analysis, variance commentary and insight to support business decisions.
- Managing intercompany accounting, reconciliations and associated controls.
- Supporting statutory reporting and annual audit processes.
- Monitoring working capital, cash flow and cost performance.
- Leading and developing a team of six across Finance, Purchasing and Office Administration.
- Supporting purchasing and supplier management activities.
- Overseeing sales and office administration processes.
- Acting as the key business user for SAP Finance and Sales Administration.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, automation and reporting.

About You

We’re looking for a strong Management Accountant with experience across financial reporting, month-end, budgeting and forecasting. You’ll be commercially minded, highly organised and confident working with senior stakeholders and Group Finance.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong experience in a financial accounting or management accounting environment.
- Experience of month-end, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing or developing a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on financial accuracy and controls.
- Good systems experience, ideally including SAP.
- The confidence to take ownership of wider business support functions.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and continuous improvement.
