About the Role

Our client is a high-growth financial services business at an exciting stage of scale-up. They are investing heavily in data and automation, using advanced tools and AI agents to modernise how their finance function operates. This is a rare opportunity to join a Group Finance team that is genuinely ahead of the curve on tech adoption, rather than talking about it.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who combines strong technical financial control with excellent stakeholder management skills and who has a genuine appetite for using technology and AI to drive efficiency in finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close process, including preparation of group management accounts and consolidated financial statements
  • Maintain robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP), internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support statutory reporting and audit processes across the group, liaising with external auditors as required
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business, finance and non-finance, to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual finance processes using data tools, scripting and AI agents
  • Support balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting and group-level reporting
  • Assist with regulatory reporting requirements specific to financial services (e.g. FCA returns, where relevant)
  • Present financial performance and control updates clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, systems and controls
  • Manage ad hoc projects and technical accounting matters as the business scales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
