Finance Manager
π Monmouth | Hybrid Working (3β4 Days On Site) | Full-Time

Are you a qualified Finance Manager looking for a role where you can make a real commercial impact? We're looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong manufacturing background to lead the finance function at our Monmouth site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you'll work closely with operational leaders, influence key business decisions, and lead a high-performing finance team.
Please note: This is a hybrid role, however candidates must be based within a commutable distance of Monmouth, as you'll be required on site 3β4 days per week.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll take ownership of the month-end process, management reporting, financial control, budgeting and forecasting, while providing valuable commercial insight to support operational performance. You'll also lead and develop the finance team across the South region, ensuring robust financial controls and continuous improvement.

- Lead the Monmouth month-end close process.
- Prepare and review month-end journals, including stock, accruals, and prepayments.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts.
- Support annual audits and statutory reporting.
- Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasting.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
Commercial Finance
- Partner with the Plant Managers, providing financial analysis and commercial support.
- Analyse profitability, labour efficiency, manufacturing costs, and material usage.
- Support investment appraisals and cost-saving initiatives.
- Deliver meaningful financial insight to support operational decision-making.
Leadership
- Lead the Monmouth finance team and provide oversight to the other site-based Finance Managers.
- Develop and mentor the wider finance team.
- Manage workloads effectively and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
About You
You'll be a confident and commercially minded Finance Manager who enjoys partnering with operational teams and leading people.

Essential
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Previous Finance Manager experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience preparing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Experience leading or supervising a finance team.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing accounting principles.
- Commercially focused with strong analytical skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Confident building relationships with operational stakeholders.
Desirable
- Multi-site finance experience.
- Sage 200 knowledge.
- Experience delivering process improvements.
- Project accounting or project management experience.
