Surrey (hybrid, 2–3 days on site) | £65,000 – £80,000 + benefits | Permanent, full time

A newly created Finance Manager role reporting into the Financial Controller of a PE-backed business. This is a genuinely hands-on opportunity to own the numbers for the first time, build the function in your own image, and make your mark early in a business with real momentum behind it.

What you'll do:

  • Take full ownership of the month-end close, delivering it to a consistent, reliable timetable
  • Rebuild the quality of data going into the accounting system so numbers are right first time and variances are properly explained
  • Bring deferred income, accrued revenue and balance-sheet reconciliations in-house and under proper control
  • Strengthen financial controls — particularly approvals, purchase orders, credit notes and banking
  • Document and improve processes as you go
  • Work closely with the managing director and senior team to raise the standard of financial discipline across the business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
