About DAC Beachcroft

At DAC Beachcroft, we're a leading international legal business with more than 3,000 people across the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. We provide a full-service claims, commercial, risk, health and insurance legal offering to a diverse client base, combining sector expertise with a forward-thinking approach to delivering legal and business solutions. As our business continues to evolve, robust financial planning and decision-making are critical to our success. We're looking for an experienced Finance Modelling Specialist to join us on a 9-month fixed-term contract, supporting a key period of forecasting and budgeting activity across the firm.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of complex, business-critical financial models that support strategic planning across the firm. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders and our Finance Business Partnering team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our forecasting and budgeting models remain accurate, efficient and fit for purpose. We're seeking someone who combines exceptional technical modelling expertise with strong commercial awareness and a passion for continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to influence decision-making, challenge assumptions and enhance the tools that underpin the firm's financial planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, support and enhance a portfolio of business-critical financial models supporting forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Ensure models remain accurate, robust and aligned to organisational and reporting requirements.
  • Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve modelling methodologies and outputs.
  • Ensure consistency between business unit models and consolidated reporting outputs.
  • Act as the technical lead for complex modelling issues, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve calculation errors, data integrity issues and performance challenges.
  • Document assumptions, methodologies, calculations, dependencies and data sources to reduce risk and improve transparency.
  • Develop user guides and support knowledge transfer activities across the finance team.
  • Provide specialist modelling support on ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
