  • Managing day-to-day company accounts using Xero
  • Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
  • Processing supplier and subcontractor invoices
  • Managing CIS records and submissions
  • VAT preparation and returns
  • Payroll administration
  • Raising client invoices and monitoring payments
  • Credit control and chasing outstanding accounts
  • Managing supplier and subcontractor payments
  • Managing purchase orders and matching them against invoices
  • Monitoring project expenditure and job costs
  • Producing monthly financial reports for the directors
  • Maintaining accurate records within our project management system
  • Ensuring project costs, purchase orders and supplier information are kept up to date
  • Working with Project Managers and Contracts Managers to keep financial information accurate across live projects
  • Managing company expenses, credit cards and receipts
  • General office and business administration
  • Maintaining supplier, subcontractor and employee records
  • Supporting the directors with financial and administrative information

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous construction industry accounts experience
  • Understands CIS, VAT, subcontractor payments and construction invoicing
  • Has strong experience using Xero
  • Is confident using construction or project management software
  • Has good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Understands purchase orders, project costs and supplier management
  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Can work independently and take ownership of the finance function
  • Is confident communicating with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and the wider project team

This is a key role within Otium Construction and would suit someone looking to become an important part of a growing construction company, with responsibility across both finance and business administration.
