Finance Office Manager – Join the Had-Fab Family

At Had-Fab, we’re proud to be a family-owned business with our people at the heart of what we do. As we continue our exciting journey of growth — from approximately £35m turnover towards £80m+ and with a workforce of around 300 people — we’re looking for an experienced Finance Office Manager to join the Had-Fab family.
Reporting to our Head of Finance, this is a key leadership position responsible for managing and developing our day-to-day finance administration and transactional activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead a busy Finance Administration team and take ownership of areas including:
- Purchase Ledger & Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable administration
- Payroll administration and cover
- Transactional processing and financial controls
- Month-end transactional activities
- Team workload, performance, training and development
- Finance procedures, accuracy and data quality
- Audit and compliance support

You’ll also act as an important link between Finance and teams across Had-Fab, working with Operations, Projects, Commercial, Procurement, HR and our site and departmental teams.

As Had-Fab continues to grow, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and improve how our Finance Administration function operates, introducing stronger processes, improving controls and helping us build systems that can support the next stage of our journey.
You’ll also support the continued development and optimisation of systems including Sage Intacct and Strumis, alongside future digital improvement projects.
Leading the Team
You’ll initially have responsibility for a team covering:
- Purchase Ledger & Payroll
- Credit Control / Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Assistance / Apprenticeship support
- Wider Finance Administration resources as the business grows
We’re looking for someone who enjoys developing people, creating structure and improving the way things are done.

What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience within Finance Administration, Office Management or Transactional Finance leadership
- Experience leading Accounts Payable / Finance Administration teams
- Good knowledge of Purchase Ledger, AP, AR, payroll and month-end processes
- Strong financial control and data accuracy experience
- Experience improving processes and systems
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, accountable and continuous-improvement mindset
Experience within engineering, manufacturing or construction would be an advantage, as would knowledge of Sage Intacct or Strumis.
