Location: London | Work Arrangement: Hybrid Working (2 days on site minimum)
Type: Temp to Perm opportunity - £350 per day umbrella
Reed Talent Solutions have partnered with Oxford Street Development Corporation (OSDC), a public body of the Greater London Authority, to recruit a Finance Officer to join their growing Finance and Corporate Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established organisation at a pivotal point in its development and play a key role in supporting one of London's most significant regeneration programmes.

As the organisation continues to build its financial capability and governance framework, they are seeking a talented Finance Officer to support the delivery of an efficient and effective finance function while helping to safeguard public funds and ensure robust financial management across the organisation.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant, you will support the day-to-day operation of the finance function and contribute to the delivery of accurate financial management, reporting and governance across OSDC.
You will lead finance transactions, support budget monitoring and forecasting, assist with the preparation of management accounts and annual accounts, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure financial processes operate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading day-to-day finance transactions including requisitions, purchase orders and invoice processing.
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
- Assisting with budget monitoring, forecasting and quarterly reporting processes.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial reconciliations.
- Supporting year-end activities including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts and supporting information for audit.
- Responding to information requests from auditors, senior management and stakeholder organisations.
- Supporting shared finance services including payroll, accounts payable and treasury activities.
- Providing advice and guidance to colleagues on financial procedures and processes.

About You
You will bring:
- A recognised accountancy qualification or be actively studying towards qualification.
- Experience of working within a finance or accounting environment.
- Knowledge of month-end processes and management accounting.
- Experience using finance and accounting systems to produce reports and financial information.
- Experience supporting year-end audits and responding to audit queries.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality financial support.
