We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our Stock Accounting team. Working directly with our Team Manager, you’ll help ensure we remain efficient, agile, and fully aligned with our business needs.
In this role, you’ll support complex accounting matters, from monitoring goods accounting processes and designing smarter accounting workflows to leading goods accounting-specific year-end closing activities, including inventory. You’ll also take full ownership of fulfilling internal company guidelines and meeting all compliance and risk management requirements.

Please note as per the Lidl internal structure, your job title will be Consultant.
What you'll do
- Overseeing the processing of supplier inquiries in connection with the posting and payment of goods invoices.
- Overseeing the management of invoice queries both internally and externally
- Stakeholder management including our Buying, Logistic and Supply Chain teams
- Participation in process optimisation
- Compliance with GSCOP regulations
- Support for process digitisation in goods accounting, including EDI, OCR and RPA (test, approvals, quality assurance, evaluations and ongoing tasks) creation of technical requirements, implementation of technical system tests and technical approvals in the course of projects and system releases
- Stock valuation of merchandise - Performing Year end work (e.g., RST outstanding goods invoices, coordination and inventory of merchandise)
- Overseeing of day-end closing incl. Invoice transfer to financial accounting
- Analysis of postings of current merchandise management processes and balance sheet account maintenance in PC WAWI (in house stock management system) and SAP FI

What you'll need
- Professional accounting qualification/studying towards (ACCA or ACA) beneficial
- Previous Accounting experience essential
- Advanced, hands-on expertise in SAP FI
- Exceptional ability to manage stakeholders and push through process changes
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to convey information to all levels of the business
- Self-motivated with exemplary organisational skills, able to multi-task and manage their own work
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
